GCMA South West
Welcome to GCMA - South West
The South West Region of the Golf Club Managers' Association represents Clubs in Gloucestershire, West Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. We currently have over eighty Members representing some 86 Clubs.
We are an active region and hold regular meetings which are business focussed by presentations and discussion with guest speakers and open forums.
We also have an Invitation Day where Members can invite Club Officials or personal friends for golf and dinner to meet like minded people and share ideas.
Captains Day is nornally held at the Captain's home club. Again a chance to meet other Managers (retired and current) for golf and dinner.
The Xmas meeting is held annually at Weston super Mare Golf Club.
We play matches against other GCMA regions and new for 2024 we are looking to reinstate a match against the Greenkeepers. These are very competitive but extremely friendly and the networking and friendships gained by meeting others is immeasurable.
